[I hate MAC ads]

Ha, awesome

First, a bit of pointless backstory. The first computer I ever owned was an Imac. I hated that fucker. It never really broke down, but no one ever told you how to take care of it. You know, clean out old files, make sure everything is updated, etc. etc. Well, after a few months, it began to take longer and longer to start up, shut down, go in and out of stand by mode, and I had no idea why. No one else did either. Then one day, it went into standby mode and never woke up again.

After that, we got a PC. It was easy to figure out how to clean it and protect it from viruses, so it never really broke in a horrible way, but it does have random fussy days where it doesn't work properly and I have to run virus scans.

Overall, I feel that Macs are... pretentious, if that's the right word. They want to make you think that they are so user friendly that you never have to worry about them, when in reality, you di just like any other computer. PCs are not much better, but they are more vocal about their problems than Macs.

Ok, now onto your video. I thought it was really well done, and pretty funny to. I liked the part about the mac-n-cheese, and the penguin. I honestly really hope that someone, somewhere takes your idea and turns it into a real series of parody commercials to rival the Mac ads. Better yet, I'd like to see PC ads that parody those ones, just so I can laugh and roll my eyes at both.

Heh, yeah... and you make a good point, with PC being more vocal about their problems. I like that about them too, but of course that makes Mac look like a superhero to the simple folk, since they think so highly of themselves. Macs have a lot of problems too, just like you said, and never want to take the blame for it... oh well.

And it's funny you should mention the mac n' cheese joke, being this is a Mac commercial parody. I wish I would've made some kind of link there between the two, heh... I'd own a mac if it was orange and shaped like a cheese wheel, totally. A few holes for USB ports or something. The Mac n' Cheese! Heh. I'd love to use that joke somewhere... heh. Someday, perhaps.

i have to say, i havent laughed this hard at anything in a while! very original, sound was good, very fitting, the graphics were unique and stylish. also, i like the hidden directors commentary and the frames in between :p

[The Banana Movie]

a decent start, but...

theres alot you could improve upon. for starters, try adding a little more detail to the background, no offense, but it looks like it was drawn by a little kid. nextly, improve the sound quality a bit. just because a sound can be used, doesnt mean its THE best one. the thing i liked the least was when the banana killed the guy, the scream was... choppy, or something... like you put a keyframe in the middle of the scream and it took out one frame of the sound. another thing, this was good for random humor, but people enjoy plots much more. im not saying random humor is bad, but it doesnt go as far. lastly, your animation was kinda choppy. you can improve this by running your movies at a framerate of between 17 and 22 fps any higher is not needed and any lower is too choppy. i use 20 fps cause it devides the second up evenly. a smooth animation is often times the difference between ok ang really great.

ok.. i totaly agree with the backgrounds, they were crappy.
But the plan was to make a blur effect on them, but paintshop fucked up.
When a banana is the character, the humor always get's a bit random.
about the sound: i did it in haste, thats all i have to say :9

because theyre speakers had static for sound? thats stupid! fyi, my speakers were staticy to. but not because it was loud. your sound is really poor quality. but then again, so is your flash. what do you have against this banana lock? you should try to be more mature in your arguments.

overall, a crappy attempt at a crappy flash thats was, in no way, amusing, quality, or usefull.

did you read info for movie? this movie ( http://newgrounds.com/portal/view/122467 ) was made about a year ago against me, and this is a parody of it. Also yes poor quality but that's intended because I want score to be about same as that movie there too, and so far it's only 0.1% off ;p

also about the static, on mine I hear none, really. Either I have the treble set lower then everyone else on my speakers or my $600 surround sound speakers was really worth it. also it doesn't sound staticy on my $80 headphones either.


on my computer, the sounds are pretty loud yes, but they aren't poor quality at all, they sound fine.

I could have had the sounds CD quality but the size of movie wouldn't then fit on newgrounds. sound HAS to be compressed or movie is too large.

pretty good

i like the animation as a whole. it was fairly well done and flowed nicely. i would sugest that next time you use a bigger arena and maybe more characters. the bloopers were funny as hell!

ok, up until the buss part i was thinking "even mr. hanky, the christmas poo would call this a peice of shit". but then he got hit by a buss and i started thinking "man, if only they had a game where some of the worse movie characters who have been blammed would get killed in various ways then that would be great". so, theres your idea, your motivation is to please all of at ng, and your goal is to make a top 50 game. now get to it. i will check the portals for your work.

fairly good, only thing i suggest is maybe get rid of the turn style fighting and add color. other than that, it not bad at all.

I can appreciate how those two aspects let the flash down. The lack of colour is indeed quite a sticking point and I only really kept with that to keep it like the previous two. I didn't really hammer home my point on the turn based fighting, it was supposed to be a bit of a joke at RPG's like shining force ("orc expires" for example, was one of the more amusing messages during combat in Shining Force), I should have made that clearer.
